Understanding Roles
BYNDIO uses a role-based system. Every person who signs up is a Customer by default. From there, they can apply for additional roles.
The role lifecycle
Section titled “The role lifecycle”- User signs up — They become a Customer automatically.
- User applies for a role — They visit a “Become a…” page (e.g., https://byndio.in/become/seller), read about the benefits, then click to apply.
- User fills out the application — Each role has its own application form with different fields.
- Admin reviews the application — You see the application in the admin panel and either approve or reject it.
- User gets access — If approved, the user can now access their new dashboard. If rejected, they see the reason and can reapply.
Application statuses
Section titled “Application statuses”| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Pending | The application is waiting for your review. The user sees a “Under Review” message and cannot resubmit. |
| Approved | The user has full access to their role dashboard. A link appears in their account. |
| Rejected | The user sees your rejection reason and can choose to apply again with updated information. |
What each role application asks for

Section titled “Seller”- Business name
- Registration number (optional)
- Tax ID (optional)
- Business type (individual, company, partnership)
- Bank details: account holder name, account number, bank name, IFSC code, UPI ID
Supplier (B2B)
Section titled “Supplier (B2B)”- Business name
- Product categories they supply
- Regions they serve
Influencer
Section titled “Influencer”- Display name
- Bio
- Niche categories (Fashion, Beauty, Electronics, etc.)
- Social media links (Instagram, YouTube, Twitter/X, TikTok)
- Follower count
Affiliate
Section titled “Affiliate”- Display name
- Promotion channels (Social Media, Blog, WhatsApp, YouTube, Email)
- Product categories they want to promote
- Brand name
- Website URL
- Description of the brand
Multiple roles
Section titled “Multiple roles”A user can hold more than one role. For example, someone might be a Customer + Seller + Influencer. Each role gives them access to a separate dashboard. They switch between dashboards from their account page.
Where to manage applications
Section titled “Where to manage applications”In the admin panel, go to the relevant section:
- Sellers to approve seller applications
- Suppliers for supplier applications
- Influencers for influencer applications
- Affiliates for affiliate applications
- Campaigns > Brands for brand applications
Look for applications with a “Pending” status badge. Click on the application to review the details, then use the Approve or Reject button.
