Search & Discovery
A marketplace is only as useful as the ability to find things in it. BYNDIO gives visitors several ways to discover products, from typing in the search bar to browsing curated sections.
Search bar
Section titled “Search bar”The search bar lives in the header at the top of every page. Visitors can type a product name, brand, category, or keyword and get instant results.
There is also a microphone icon next to the search bar for voice search. Visitors can tap it and speak their query instead of typing. This is especially handy on mobile.
Search results page
Section titled “Search results page”When a visitor searches for something, they land on the results page at https://byndio.in/search. The results show as a grid of product cards, similar to the main product listing.
The search results page has powerful filters on the side:
- Category — Narrow results to a specific product category.
- Price range — Set a minimum and maximum price to stay within budget.
- Rating — Only show products with a certain star rating or higher.
- In stock — Toggle to hide out-of-stock items.
Visitors can also sort results by:
- Newest — Most recently added products first.
- Price: Low to High — Cheapest first, for bargain hunters.
- Price: High to Low — Most expensive first, for premium shoppers.
- Popular — Most purchased or most viewed products.
- Rating — Highest-rated products first.
Trending page
Section titled “Trending page”The trending page at https://byndio.in/trending highlights products that are gaining traction. This could be based on recent views, purchases, or engagement. It gives visitors a sense of what is popular right now and encourages impulse browsing.
Deals page
Section titled “Deals page”The deals page at https://byndio.in/deals collects all products with active discounts, flash sales, or special offers in one place. If you are running a promotion, this is where deal-seekers will look first.
Seller directory
Section titled “Seller directory”Visitors can browse all approved sellers at https://byndio.in/sellers. Each seller card shows their store name, logo, rating, and product count. Clicking on a seller takes the visitor to that seller’s dedicated storefront page, where they can browse everything that seller offers.
Supplier directory
Section titled “Supplier directory”The supplier directory at https://byndio.in/suppliers is aimed at businesses and bulk buyers. It lists B2B suppliers along with their specialities and service areas. This helps potential business buyers find the right supplier for their needs.
Compare feature
Section titled “Compare feature”Visitors can add products to a comparison view at https://byndio.in/compare. This puts products side by side so shoppers can compare specifications, prices, ratings, and features before making a decision. It is especially useful for electronics, appliances, and other products where specs matter.
Why this matters to you as admin
Section titled “Why this matters to you as admin”You do not directly control what appears in search results — that is driven by the product catalogue and the search engine. But you do influence discovery in other ways:
- Product approvals affect what is searchable. Only approved products appear in results.
- Categories shape how filters work. A well-organised category tree makes filtering more useful.
- Deals and flash sales you create in the admin panel feed directly into the deals page.
- Featured products and homepage content drive traffic to specific products, which in turn boosts their trending score.
A well-maintained catalogue with clear categories and accurate product data makes the entire search and discovery experience better for everyone.
